Angel From Underground

In the darkest of the days
In her deepest of hurt
An angel from underground
Rises up from the bloody dirt
To cradle the child of hate
Taking hold of her so tightly
Pulling her back down
With his smug smile shining brightly
Screeching in glory
Laughing at his face
Pulling her away from them
He traps her in a case
Locked away forever
Wishing it were a dream
Crying out for help
But no one can hear her scream
Her calls go unheard
She promises she won’t cry
Already she knows her fate
She is going to die
She falls down to her knees
All covered in blood
He laughs at her
As she sinks into the thick mud
Further she continues to sink
Her soul is already dead
He smiles to see her this way
As he picks up a piece of bread
She leaves her thoughts behind
The angel now releases her
Now that she is not but a shell
No one will realize what is wrong for sure
In the darkest of the days
In her deepest hurt
That angel from underground
Rose up from the bloody dirt
